2000-2008 EXCAVATIONS
Plan over excavations made by the Swedish Pompeii Project 2000-2008.
For the documentation and analysis of the early phases of the history of Insula V 1, some trenches have been laid out for excavations below the level of AD 79. During the years such excavations have been conducted, in combination with the documentation of the standing remains, in a few areas of special interest.
The results of the general fieldwork are accounted for, building by building, under the heading Documentation of Insula V 1.
Note that the prehistoric (Early Bronze Age/Palma Campania) finds of the project are presented under the headings of Vicolo delle Nozze d’Argento and V 1,13 Caupona Room f Well.
