East Wall

Description

Henrik Boman & Monica Nilsson

The east wall of room a is intersected by three openings: one door and south of it a window into room b, and further south is the opening to corridor c. Above all openings is a long, wooden lintel which constitutes the lower part of the modern reconstruction.

The wall is built in opus incertum with limestone and a few lava and cruma. The doors and window are framed by cut limestone blocks.
