South Wall

South wall of taberna 22 is located between V 1, 22 and V 1, 23a and it has an E-W orientation.

The wall is built in opus incertum. It consists of mostly limestone, some cruma, lava and a couple of tuff blocks. The stones are generally rounded and 10-20 cm. In the eastern corner there are some tiles and terracotta fragments. At the height of 0.65-0.90 m, there is a hole where stones are missing. In the centre of the wall, at the floor level, 2.10 m from the east corner, a small hole is visible through the wall, leading down towards the fauces.

State of preservation:
The upper part of the wall is missing and the wall is heavily restored.
