Description

Thomas Staub

In the south-east corner, a quarter-circular construction is built against the walls, height 0.53 m, width 0.60 m, depth 0.40 m. At the inner edge, the opening of a lead pipe is visible. At its base, it is surrounded by a channel, between 0.07 and 0.11 m wide, partly covered by hydraulic plaster. Apparently this quarter-circular channel shows two phases at the south-west corner. In its first phase it was slightly narrower, its outer side covered by plaster. In a second phase, this rim was reinforced. At its south-western end, a drainage opening led the water through an underground channel towards the culina l.
