East Wall

Description

Thomas Staub

Width: 3.85 m, max. preserved height: 5.00 m. The wall is covered with plaster up to a height of 4.15 m, only there above, the masonry, consisting of red Cruma-incertum with the reddish mortar, is visible. At floor level, remains of the cut off tiles are still visible along the wall. At 0.95 and 3.50 m height, joints are visible in the plaster. In 3.70 - 3.75 m height, a row of small holes (diam. 0.01 m) probably shows where a stucco frieze might have been attached to the plaster.
