West Wall

W wall: width 2.15 m, max. preserved height 3.30 m, above 1.70 m as a modern reconstruction. Door towards culina l: 1.10 m wide, 2.00 m high. The southern doorframe is in prolongation of the south wall of culina l, and is made of the same mixed opus incertum as the rest of that wall. The northern frame is built of smaller rectangular blocks of Sarno stone and tuff (0.25 x 0.10 m - 0.30 x 0.12 m). The adjacent part of the wall is made of a mixed opus incertum, containing cruma, lava and Sarno stone, set into a greyish-yellowish mortar.
