E wall: width 2.95 m, max. preserved height 3.90 m. For a description of the wall, see room h, west wall. On this side, the wall is largely covered by modern concrete. At the bottom, a semi-circular niche is set into the wall, between the bench in front of the north wall and the steps leading down into this room. The niche is max. 0.60 m wide and 0.70 m high, reaching under the lava-block of the threshold, and is framed by more or less rectangular blocks of Sarno stone (0.12 x 0.08 m - 0.20 x 0.25 m).
