Wall decoration (extant)

Description

A. Karivieri & R. Forsell

N wall, decoration:
There are remains of wall plaster in the east corner where yellow paint can still be seen 0-93 cm from the east corner and 11cm above an older lavapesta floor.

E wall, decoration:
On the northern part of the wall there are remains of wall plaster and a piece of wall painting. The plaster is visible from the north corner, continuing south 1.30 m stretching from floor level up to the height of 0.2 m. The plaster seems to continue beneath the lavapesta floor. The painted plaster is preserved 0.08-0.10 m above floor level in a band 0.01-0.07 m high and 1.0 m long. It is yellow, except for a small red patch, visible 0.40-0.45 m from the north corner.

S wall, decoration:
The wall plaster undercoating is preserved in the east corner from the floor level up to the height of 0.3 m. Remains of wall plaster are also visible at the floor level, 1.50 m from the east corner. In this same corner there seems to be two separate layers of wall plaster.
