Some modern surface repairing with cement confuses the interpretation of the E wall. There is a possibility that a small round window once opened into room k of the North House of Casa di L. Caecilius Iucundus (V 1, 23).
The top profile of the wall as altered when the room k in V 1,23 was roofed in 2008. The upper part of the wall was consolidated with cement/plaster.
